I offer individual mental health counseling to people age 18 and older in the state of Pennsylvania.
Counseling services are provided through telehealth. I do not offer in-person sessions.
Included in the mental health counseling I provide to clients, I offer referrals to external resources that are supportive to your treatment goals.
-
It is out of my scope of practice to provide psychiatric, neuropsychological, Emotional Support Animal (ESA) or service animal evaluations.
My role in your journey is the role of a therapist, not an evaluator. However, I am happy to share and discuss referrals with you that would be supportive to your therapeutic work.

You must cancel your appointment with at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment.
You will be charged a portion of the full session fee ($80) for failing to cancel 24 hours prior to your appointment or no call no shows.
I give clients 15 minutes grace for lateness. I will make two attempts to reach out via email or phone call within that 15 minute timeframe. If I receive no reply after 15 minutes into session, the appointment will be cancelled. This would be considered a no call no show and you will be charged the no-show fee.
-
Frequent late cancellations, no shows and lateness to appointments will be discussed and you may risk losing your recurring appointment slot on my caseload.
I believe that consistent attendance and communication is a reflection of our mutual commitment to therapeutic work.
-
Everything discussed in session will remain confidential. Exceptions include disclosure of:
Child abuse or neglect
Risk of harm to self or others
Disclosure of suicidal or homicidal plan and intent
If you'd like me to collaborate with other professionals or supports, we can discuss completion of a release of information (ROI).

In effort to protect client health information and maintain privacy practices, my communication policy stands as the following:
Administrative questions and cancellation/lateness notifications can be communicated either through my HIPAA compliant email address or the messaging feature in the private client portal which is both encrypted and HIPAA compliant.
Communications about care, questions and resources discussed relevant to therapeutic work are to be limited to the messaging feature in the private client portal. The client portal messaging feature and email are for non-urgent or non-crisis matters of concern.
Please allow for at least 1-2 business days for reply to non-urgent matters expressed through email, phone call or portal messaging.
I understand that text message is an easy and accessible form of communication for many. However, please refrain from communications through text message as it is not HIPAA compliant or protected mode of communication. I will redirect you to the appropriate mode of communication to address your concerns.
If you are experiencing an emergency or mental health crisis, please contact your local mobile crisis line, national warm lines or go to the nearest ER with an available support person. Various hotlines, warm lines and links to mobile crisis information are located at the bottom of this page. You may communicate this event through the client portal or phone call for me to follow up on care and next steps following the crisis.
